ABSTRACT

Criminal justice administrators who manage local-level agencies face many challenges. ey have to manage their agencies, including developing policies or programs that guide the decision-making of their workers. Administrators must deal with citizens, stakeholders, and politicians in their local environment. ey must adjust to changes in their working environment that impact their role in the society. Contemporary criminal justice leaders, even those at the local level, must also consider international and global issues, and the impact those issues may have upon the administration of their agencies.
