ABSTRACT

Sport has produced several effects on communit ies. Effects of sport on the community are not only economic, but social, such as enhan cing community ties and iden tit ies. With an aging society, the Japanese govern ment has focused on sport-related communit ies for regional resid ents and tour ists. This chapter will examine two aspects of sport entre pren eur ship and, in partic u lar, microentre pren eur ship in Japan through face-to-face or tele phone semi-struc tured inter views.
