ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: This paper deals with the influence of elevated temperatures up to 100°C on strain and stress in symmetrically reinforced concrete samples with different reinforcement ratio. The procedure, results and conclusions of tests conducted on unreinforced and reinforced concrete samples in the laboratory of the Institute of Structural Engineering (ISE), Technical University in Kosice are briefly summarized. It supports a possibility of theoretical prediction of stress caused by elevated temperatures with different kinds of reinforcement (GFRP, steel). The article indicates a possible of application of GFRP reinforcement at elevated temperatures and a contribution for practice.
