ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: In recent years, a lot of ice arenas and skating rinks have been built in Russia. Such constructions have to work under specific air conditions. Therefore, one of the most important technological parts is to optimize the microclimate in halls of ice complexes. This article identifies a problem of the existing air distribution scheme of a given hall. The simulation model built in the program ANSYS Fluent, showed problems of design and choice of equipment for the ice hall, and also exceeding the recommended standards for air temperature and relative humidity. According to the resulting data, adjustments to the existing scheme were made. It allowed us to obtain the optimal values of temperature and humidity in ice arena zone and tribunes, corresponding to the standards.
