ABSTRACT

Socio-economic development activities aimed at improving the quality of life favoring the socio-economic dimension at the expense of environmental-safety are unsustainable in the future. The balance of the development of individual areas must be ensured at the stage of preparing a development strategy. Safety and health risks that occur in meeting social and economic objectives as a result of reduced quality components of the environment, must so be managed in preparation, and also after adopting the strategy documents, and derived concrete actions, plans and projects there from. These risks need to be identified during the first stage of preparation of future activities, i.e. in the strategic development documents and to assess them from the first step of assessing impacts on the environment and human health in the face of expected economic and social objectives.
