ABSTRACT

In this paper, a secured technique of digital watermarking by embedding a biometric watermark on a digital media efficiently has been proposed. Using biometrics, the digital media is solely characterized by an individual as his intellectual property. Using this technique, the authors can enhance the security of digital signals without the distortion of digital media. The biometric data, here iris, is embedded into the cover image pixels bit wise. Covariance saliency technique is used to identify the salient pixels of the watermarked image which is to replace the significant bits of the cover image. Various attacks and experimental results shows the improved imperceptibility and robustness of this method with less error percentage.
