The subsequent provisions of the Bill for the restriction of the hours of women in workshops he would be inclined to support. Restrictions applied to girls of 14 ought not, however, to be applied to women of ::!l. Mr. FIELDEN said that the women whose labour was restricted by the Bill were incapable of taking care of themselves, and he hoped the proposal of the hon. gentleman opposite would not be discussed at any length. Mr. MACDONALD hoped that no threat of a division would induce the Government to give way on this point.
