ABSTRACT
UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW LOCAL EXAMINATIONS.-The report of these examinations for the year 1877, says that 43 candidates presented themselves, and that the Board of Examiners was much pleased with the result. The answers, however, in the arithmetic of several of the female candidates, are reported as very inaccurate, and this remark, it also appears, applies even in the case of some, who in other respects, took a distinguished position in the examinations. The examinations this year will be held in Glasgow and other places, on May 15th and June 19th.
