266 Record oj Event8. [ EDill.hwom.n·, Rc.vlew, JUDB 16th. la7S. expenditure to £2,998. In that expenditure was included a sum of £1,300 paid into deposit account. About £50 more had been expended than received, but in answer to the appeal made, about £5,4:00 had been promised, and of this sum £2,400 had already been received. The actual income amounted to about £1,750, and the expenditure, including the expense of the arrangement with the Royal Free Hospital, was about equal in amount. A legacy had been left to the school by the late Mrs. Oakes, of Sydney, New South Wales, amounting to £7,300. The school was progressing in a satisfactory manner, and several of the students were going to Africa and India, where their medical knowledge would be of great service. The Chairman, Mrs. Fawcett, and Mr. T. Hughes having addressed those present, the foHowing prize list was read :-Miss Butler, Hospital Scholarship, value £40; Miss Prideaux and Miss Bartholomew, prizes for anatomy; Miss Prideaux, prize for chemistry; Miss Marston, certificate for same; Miss Prideaux, prize for physiology; Miss Bartholomew, certificate tor same. The proceedings were brought to a close with the passing of a vote of thanks to the chairman, moved by Dr. Sophia J ex-Bls.ke, and seconded by Mr. James Hopgood, chairman of the Board of Governors of the Royal Free Hospital.
