ABSTRACT

The report of the Ladies' Institute of Eelfast, formed for the object of directing the attention of the public and especially of parents, to the importance of aiming at a higher standard of education fOl' young women, is of much interest at the present time, particularly as the co-operation of the Ladies' Institute of Belfast. with other similar associations, induced the Senate of the Queen's University in Ireland to establish a system of examination for young females.
