ABSTRACT

Boheme, and one from many points of view deserving of consideration, is that candidates for a degree may take only one subject a year, and spread the period of competition over one, two, three, or even four years, according to the number of subjects they take up at once. The value of this plan is evident, as avoiding not only the risk of cramming, but also the danger to health) which not unfrequently results from the mental strain involved in the preparation of a number of subjects in a short space of time. Provision, too, is tnus made for women of capacity who may be already 'ngaged in the profession of teaching, and who would find it impossible to afford the time necessary for studying at once the whole of the subjects required for the L.A. examination.
