ABSTRACT
The religious landscape in Spain has changed significantly in recent years, and debates over the accommodation of religious and cultural diversity in public institutions have gained momentum in the public sphere. However, despite the widely acknowledged importance of these changes, empirical research on the processes of adaptation and the response of public institu tions to the new religious environment is still very scarce. The aim of this chapter is to address this gap by providing a general overview of the results of the research project GEDIVER-IN. The Management of Religious Diversity in Hospitals and Prisons in Spain, which was funded by the Spanish National Research Program (2010-14).1
