ABSTRACT

In the evening a public meeting, under the presidency of Mr. Jacob Bright, was held in the Free Trade Hall. Mr. \V. S. Caine, of Liverpool, moved the first resolution. In his speech, he said he was glad that Miss Sturge had introduced in the three words which she had added to the resolution the principle of granting the vote to all householders, male and female, and he was glad that the Conference had adopted the amendment unanimously.
