Mrs. Burbury, said she was not in favour of training colleges for female teachers, if the object could be attained by other means: Mrs. Grey, who pointed out that the public day schools Company which had been referred to was entirely distinct fi'om the Union, said the committee had no idea of establishing a training college, but what they wanted tc. do was to supplement as far as possible the training which was given now, and that they hop.ed to do by lectures on special educational subjects, and also by getting admission for their students into schools where they would learn the plinciples of education.
