ABSTRACT
HolboTn, is formed for the purpose of thoroughly training, and giving employment to women, in type setting ~nd other light branches of printing, for which there is reason to believe that t.hey have special capabilities; but in which their progress appears to have been retard~d by the fact that there are so few facilities for enabling them thoroughly to learn, and afterwards to ca!TY on the work. Provision is made by the Articles tor the acquirement of shares by the workers, and it is hoped that ultimately the business will be largely in theu-hands, and that the introduction of this Co-operative element will render success more certain than in any ordinary commercial undertaking. Those who desire to assist women to enter more generally into. this employment which appears to be particularly suitable for them, can do so by taking Shares in the Society.
