ABSTRACT

Museums have ample opportunity to address the social needs of youth in foster care. The social mandate of museums compels us to take a deeper look at the challenges that face youth aging out of foster care and to look to advocacy groups to see how we can better engage this vulnerable population and provide services to help them become stable, productive adults.
