ABSTRACT
Murphy’s Law of Research states that “sufficient research will always confirm your own opinions.” Of course, research often does confirm what one suspects, but it presumably does so in an orderly and scientific manner. My own research undertaking on adult education and the museum experience first occurred to me when I began to question which alternatives to the traditional docent lecture tour would be appropriate for adults, and what would be the most effective touring technique to use with them?
