ABSTRACT

Abstract Intelligence analyst, as a properly defined occupation, has enriched the Romanian labor market since early 2012. Following a one-year scientificbased research, a consortium of governmental agencies, private companies, and academic institutions, hosted by the Institute for Studies on Public Order, established the intelligence analyst’s National Occupational Standard (NOS), which defines needed skills and abilities, professional key requests, quality benchmarks, and evaluation tools. The partnership built around the new occupation has generated a strong synergy between professionals from police, army, intelligence services, private sectors, and the education field.
