ABSTRACT
This chapter explores how online interaction has the potential to provide both education and potential relationships for those interested in polyamory. It provides a basic introduction to polyamorous relationships and a largely descriptive explanation of how people can learn about polyamory online. Online support might be especially beneficial for someone who is new to polyamory or who might be questioning whether or not they have a poly identity. Soon, as Internet use increased and the number of polyamory-oriented print resources expanded, it became possible for more people than ever to learn that what they were doing was not necessarily unique or unusual; that a whole community of people were exploring polyamory. One of the key advantages of exploring polyamory online back then, as it is now, is the potential for privacy and comfort. The web is rich with resources for those who wish to explore polyamory, often written with care and passion by activists.
