ABSTRACT

This chapter describes some key considerations about being Deaf and using sign languages. It explains how the E-Space for Signed Collaboration Abroad on Language E-learning experiments are an attempt to transpose Deaf Space concepts to the architecture of an online learning environment with synchronous and asynchronous components. Video remote interpreting and video relay services that allow Deaf people to receive and make calls through an interpreter are widely used in the United States financed through state taxes and telephone bills. George. Veditz's popular quote of "people of the eye" is something many Deaf people identify with, and research provides evidence to support the claim that sign languages are the key that gives Deaf people access to human sociality. Deaf people are familiar with expressing themselves in language barrier situations and they excel at communicating their meanings through gestures and non-verbal.
