ABSTRACT

This chapter explores some of the ways that public policy, human-computer interaction, and environmental sustainability intersect. It offers a preliminary discussion of how we might engage with those intersecting domains by focusing on two types of environmental public policy: “waste electrical and electronic equipment” and “green public procurement” policies. The chapter closes by reflecting on some of the tactics we might use to engage with broader environmental public policies, as well as some of challenges we might encounter along the way.
