ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to demonstrate the use of the double-traversed cross in the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem from the time of the Crusades to the present, with particular reference to the Priory of England. I shall take as examples its use on seals and buildings and in heraldic documents.
