ABSTRACT

Digital transformation is fully upon today's organizations. The advent of cloud computing, social media, advanced analytics, the Internet of Things, mobile computing, artificial intelligence, and robotic process automation have not only led to a bevy of new business acronyms, but also to fundamental changes to the way organizations do business. High performers utilize both Centers of Excellence (COEs) and self-service models, and in the 2020 future state, one would expect a much more capable analytics professional who partners with the business to not only interpret, but predict and influence performance. The COE will house the data scientists for the highly developed analytics as well as do the critically important yet painful work of data management, data governance, technology harmonization, and deployment. The technology available today has nearly eliminated these barriers. CXO cockpits can now have dynamic feeds to various systems and find correlations with external data.
