Comparing the Methodologies Used by Statisticians and Economists for Research and Modeling

I have always thought that a major reason for visiting another country is to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of the country in which one usually lives by observing how other people tackle problems similar to those faced at home. I have been asked to compare the methodologies of statisticians and economists for the same kind of reason.
