ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book highlights the youngest children engage with visual, physical, emotional stimuli first and language next. Children will have favourite items which may or may not be available in another country and they can learn to ask about these as well as to clarify what something is or contains or if it is appropriate to allergy conditions. The children need to be encouraged to research all and any aspects of the target language communities that interest them and to seek opportunities to meet new language in the process. The book shows that how children enjoy being creative with the language they know and how this in time develops their capabilities. It explains a similar menu of academic arguments and reports, snapshots from classrooms, signposts to resources and advocations to approach language teaching from specific pedagogical stances.
