ABSTRACT
If you were to create a profile of an effective counselor educator, what qualities, experience, and classroom features would you include? This chapter provides an introduction to the professional identity of a counselor educator, including common roles and faculty responsibilities. The content promotes consideration for professional identity characteristics of counselor educators that produce, promote, and foster learning, as well as what qualities make for effective and influential counselor educators.
