ABSTRACT
During training to be a counselor, students learn how to be sensitive to their own culture and responsive to the identities of their clients. Counselors also learn how a client’s diversity and culture influence the therapeutic process. This chapter explores how, when training to be a Counselor Educator, diversity and culture influence the teaching and learning processes. This includes consideration for the teacher’s identity as well as the students in the classroom.
