ABSTRACT
What is pedagogy? Is it the correct use of teaching strategies? Is it a method of teaching adults? Or is it a style of instruction? In truth, pedagogy can be any or all of these things. This chapter is designed to promote thinking about how pedagogy manifests in a personal approach to teaching and learning. It provides an overview of modern theories of teaching and learning. Readers will formulate a personal teaching philosophy that captures the essence of what they believe about teaching and learning.
