ABSTRACT
It is a familiar observation that we ascribe beliefs, desires, and actions not just to each other, but also to couples, families, sports teams, organizations, and entire nations. But it is by no means clear whether such ascriptions merely represent careless metaphor, or capture a genuine insight. Does it really make sense to ask not only what do I think, but what do we, the couple, sports team, or nation, think?
