ABSTRACT

The College of Saint Benedict (CSB), a residential liberal arts college for women, and Saint John’s University (SJU), a residential liberal arts college for men, were founded by Benedictine monastic communities. The Rule of Benedict, a guiding treatise advocates a balanced life of service, inclusiveness, worship, hospitality, and community living. The campuses sit adjacent to their respective founding monasteries, and Sisters and Monks are highly engaged with both student populations.
