Collaborative Research with the Madaba Plains Project by an Historical Geographer
Next in my list of memories are my visits to the Andrews University campus, the first time during my sabbatical in 1976-1977. There I came to know Larry Geraty in a more personal way. I think he had visited our Beer-sheba dig before that. I also came to appreciate the Andrews University campus and its academic program. Later, when the Midwest meetings of the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) and the American Schools of Oriental Research (ASOR) happened to be held on the Andrews campus, I enjoyed their hospitality and fellowship among many of my friends.
