ABSTRACT

Organisational narratives provide rich information about the organisation related to its structure, culture, strategy, and processes like communication, decision-making, leadership, human resource policies, etc. Appreciative inquiry is best known as an intervention strategy, but it can also be used as an approach for inquiry, a way of co-exploring the world. The Appreciative inquiry approach is mostly used as an Organisation Development (OD) Intervention strategy. Narrative analysis can be a very helpful technique in implementing any organisation development strategy. The chapter discusses the destiny stage; action plan developed in the design stage is implemented by all the participants. A new relationship is formed between the researcher and the research participant; the participant becomes the co-researcher as the researcher shares the findings of the study with the participant. The chapter puts forward the efficacy of appreciative narrative inquiry in discovering the personal experiences of the members of the organisation.
