ABSTRACT

The act of creation is the crux from where novel and original works of art and design emerge. It is extensively studied from various perspectives of creativity, the point of view of the creator, his creation, the process and so on. It has been observed that apart from the analytical and precise elements, the act of creation also has certain elements which are ambiguous and cannot be addressed through the existing parameters of knowledge. They could be accessed only through experiential knowledge. This chapter attempts to look at the act of creation from an experiential perspective.
