ABSTRACT

THE PREVIOUS two chapters-Chapter 12 (one-way ANOVA) and Chapter 13 (twoway ANOVA)—have overviewed the goals of analysis of variance. A three-way analysis of variance asks similar questions, and we are not going to reiterate here what we have already presented. We will address in this chapter those things that are unique to three-way analysis of variance (as contrasted with one-way or twoway ANOVAs), and also describe what a covariate is and how it can be used with the General Linear Model command.
