ABSTRACT

This chapter describes Geoffrey Thompson’s reflections on organizing the 2009 exhibition Process and Product: The Art of Edith Kramer, which took place in Dallas, Texas, during the annual American Art Therapy Association Conference. Read about Thompson’s numerous visits to Edith’s New York City loft and studio, his reflections on being in this space among Edith’s belongings and artwork, and the ultimate selection of works for the exhibition. Through this process, an introspective window into the life of Edith Kramer the artist emerges, with implications on the lasting impact her artistic legacy exerts on the field of art therapy.
