Summary and Discussion
Space is the ‘fundamental stuff of geography’ (Thrift 2009: 85). The spatial view on worldwide knowledge gives new insights into global companies and the challenges resulting from the internationalisation of knowledge for local labour and the regions. At the same time, the spatial view reveals gaps in academic knowledge on how managers perceive the globalisation of knowledge, and how globalisation affects particularly blue-collar workers in the Global South. Equally, there are few studies concerned with the effects on the North.
