ABSTRACT

Bon Appetit Cafe and Deli is a restaurant located in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA. The restaurant provides lunchtime food service to various diverse clienteles in downtown Winston-Salem. Jimmy Al-Najjar is Jordanian, and was educated as a chemist, with a degree from Sofia University in Bulgaria. After a job as a water treatment plant engineer, as well as owning a grocery store in Louisiana, and running a grocery-restaurant in the Washington, DC area, Jimmy decided to open the restaurant in Winston-Salem during the summer of 2005. Living in the south-eastern United States has many advantages. Namely the weather is pleasant, the cost of living is reasonable when compared to the North-eastern US and West Coast US, and people are generally very polite. Jimmy began negotiations for a lease of an empty retail space very close to the campuses of Guilford College and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, in Greensboro, North Carolina.
