ABSTRACT
This chapter outlines the process undertaken by a steering group made up of members from the Funky Dragon Grand Council. It describes the development of an organisation run by young people and goes on to describe the formation of a project which concludes with Welsh representation at the CRC Committee in Geneva. Membership of the steering group was open to all Funky Dragon's Grand Council members, and a total of eight young people signed up there and then. As part of their planning process the steering group had considered the CRC's framework for NGOs compiling alternative reports. Funky Dragon has written and implemented a Welsh Language Scheme ensuring its activities are carried out in both languages. All Funky Dragon's work follows its statement of ethical practice which defines the framework of all research practices and has been approved by Funky Dragon's Management Committee.
