ABSTRACT
In order to provide a conceptual framework for this book, the introduction will start by reviewing the contemporary research on urban design and planning concerning age-friendliness, ageing in place, and active ageing. It will also look into the emerging trend of creative ageing in Asian cities amidst diverse social and political interests interlocked in urban development.
