ABSTRACT
Planning and density is highly contested, especially in Anglo-Saxon new world cities. The chapter sets out ten fears about density and ten opportunities with density based on the planning evidence available. It suggests that the planning ethics associated with density is mostly about overcoming the fear and grasping the opportunities.
