ABSTRACT
This chapter reviews the results of the studies reported in this book, identifies the limitations of the studies and suggests possible future directions for research. It also contextualizes the results in terms of new social and political trends such as the decline of the liberal word order, the growth of populism and what appears to be an environment of post-truth politics. Finally, a number of strategies is suggested for the future – civic education, youth policy, the development of civil society and social capital accumulation.
