ABSTRACT

The scene takes place in a publisher’s office somewhere in Oslo. After many attempts we had finally secured a meeting with the chief editor for the Law and Humanities series. We had brought with us our book proposal and we were filled with excitement and anticipation. After many seemingly sterile discussions on whether or not our book idea was good enough or whether we had the discipline to see it through, things finally seemed to be moving forward. Although we had emailed the editor a copy of the book proposal that stated our interest to write on digital online media and issues of identity and difference, the editor wanted to question us further.
