Conclusion: Beyond the Global Capitalist Crisis

ByBerch Berberoglu

The authors of the chapters included in this book have gone to great lengths to examine the extent and depth of the global capitalist crisis-a systemic crisis that is permanent and irreversible, notwithstanding the fact that there have been periods of recovery and expansion within the broader framework of overall epochal decline of the global capitalist system. The authors have done an excellent job of explaining the nature, extent, and intensity of the global economic crisis, arguing that this predicament is an inherent characteristic of the system itself, is endemic to it, and cannot be changed within the framework of the capitalist system.
