Conceptualizing the Future of the Business School Library

The library as a physical or architectural space developed hand-in-glove with the development of an organizational structure that evolved specifically to deliver the functionality of that space to the user. Although not the only driver, the contents of that space were the dominant driver shaping that organizational structure: that in turn defined the roles and the optimal skills required of the people associated with the library entity, along with the reporting lines and the financial and administrative controls they exercised.
