ABSTRACT
It’s the first week of class, and several confused students wander the halls of our English department. These wayward students haven’t been looking for their classrooms or the nearest restroom. Instead, they’ve been looking for their professional writing instructor’s office. Why? To earn a badge. For us, this moment represents a success, a moment where we saw tangible results from gamifying our courses.
