ABSTRACT
The chapter presents examples towards a Digital Transformation Roadmap based on Digital Use Cases for Supply Chain Management (SCM). SCM involves several business areas such as operations management, production, logistics, procurement, or IT, and is therefore a practical showcase to present the ongoing developments and future possibilities of digital technology. Talking about the future of SCM, managers and researchers predict the movement into the digital age and claim a digital SCM for the coming decades. The Digital Transformation Roadmap and the Digital Use Cases are two building blocks of the Digital Capability Framework. Investigating the vision of a digital SCM and its potential use cases makes a differentiated view onto the big picture of SCM necessary. Therefore, we first introduce the foundation of SCM and explain the principles of the Supply Chain Operations Reference model (SCOR). The SCOR model is the basis for the assessment of the individual use cases regarding customer oriented parameters and internally-oriented parameters.
