Russia: Entrepreneurship and Sustainability: Business Solutions for Poverty Alleviation from around the World
The goal of writing this case study is to show the potential for developing corporate social responsibility (CSR) in businesses in the Russian Federation. This case is unique in illustrating how a couple can provide profitable, productive employment in a dying Russian countryside and reviv e interest in ancient Russian crafts without public or gov ernmental support. The total annual income of the small family workshop presented here is RUR 1 million (or approximately USD 34,000), with 20 employees involved in production. The history of the company development goes back to 1991.
