ABSTRACT

Nineteen years ago Gunnar Olsson published “A chiasm of thought-and-action” (Olsson 1993). 1 It was a minimalistic rendering which illustrated the processes of thought and action shaped as the double helix of a Moebius band and compared to an American football. In the meantime, this image was substituted by a pyramid (Jensson 2000; Olsson, 2007). Never mind. The desires were similar: to produce a text in which the expression of things gave way to pure expression of relations; to write a text not about something, but being that something in itself. A metaphor was thrown; others invited to juggle de Saussure a Lacan with Olsson. To me this opportunity is better than most to employ the identities and differences of Charles S. Peirce’s 2 on the same stage as Olsson’s to get a better understanding of the choreography of the game. Let’s witness the clubs swapping.
