ABSTRACT

Before becoming a professor at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Manchester in the UK, Darren Ashcroft was a Pharmacy student at the University of Nottingham where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. He went on to obtain his Master’s Degree in Clinical Pharmacy as well as his Doctorate from Queen’s University of Belfast and Aston University respectively. Along with his teaching work, Darren Ashcroft holds the Foundation Chair in Pharmacoepidemiology at the University of Manchester and is the founding Director of the Centre for Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety Research. Over the years, he has sat on multiple national committees where his expertise in medication safety was put to contribution.
