ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book confirms the importance of context in defining and studying the impact of religion on legal empowerment. Religion is powerful. Its power takes sometimes a discrete, even silent form. Other times, it becomes loud, controversial and highly threatening. The book focuses on how religion and the exercise of religious rights may or may not empower individuals and social groups or various descriptions and improve access to human rights in general. A perception of the reality of legal pluralism allows us to concentrate on the issues of the patterns of people's actions on the basis of religious affiliations and how the expression of difference in religious beliefs is legally protected. Mario Ricca described the circumstances, as situations where the normative encyclopaedias might collide and eventually conflate by themselves in a kind of magical convergence.
